Cadillac Records is a movie chronicalling the beginning of the blues and the rise of chess records and its recording artists. It was written and directed by Darnell Martin and had such stars as Beyonce Knowles and cedric the entertainer. For any one that really enjoys the blues and interested in history i would highly recommend watching this show.
The presentation of the movie is really great, the characters are all dressed in proper attire for the time the movie is depicting and the low budget really gives the film a sense that it was made during that time period. The way it goes back and forth from character to character and inter mingles them is really great and keeps you interested. It is also interesting as far as how much racism was alive during that time period.
